God Works Through People

I believe this is one of the single hardest realities to come to grips with. However, not working through this means any number of problems in our lives. Perhaps it means a person never experiences what it means to know God because they can't see past that one guy or group of people who hurt them. Maybe it means that an otherwise vibrant spiritual life is paralyzed because of bitterness towards another believer. Or maybe it means life comes to a standstill because we just can't feature God working through us. People make mistakes, people don't communicate, people lie, people ... steal, kill, and destroy. (Sounds like someone else.) There are a lot of things that I don't know, but I know God unequivocally calls us to forgive and He also has a plan for working with other people. Fortunately He doesn't just leave us on the curb to figure out the details while He goes on His merry way. He gave us stories about forgiveness (like the servant who was forgiven a lot and then went to collect a small loan) and best of all He came and worked with an unruly lot of twelve guys and fulfilled His ultimate goal by being betrayed by one of them. Go figure.
